Large Language Models (LLMs) such as Open AI’s GPT-3 have already moved from proof of concept to consumer and industry adoption in fields like chatbots for customer helpline support, marketing and business journalism.  Now, pretrained models for creating AI images from text prompts and even text-to-video are being hailed as inaugurating an new era in AI development. Private regulation by terms and conditions of use is one important avenue to control these models, therefore the aim of this project is to map and analyse what issues terms of use, licences, ‘ethics’ statements and advisory documents purport to regulate within them. Moreover, the goal is to describe and analyse if at all these terms of use are monitored or enforced.
