The TAS Hub is keen to facilitate opportunities for TAS researchers at all stages of their careers to collaborate with industry partners.

Partnerships with Centres for Doctoral Training

The three TAS Hub institutions each have an affiliated Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) that focuses on particular TAS-related topics.  These CDTs offer opportunities for industrial partners to part-fund PhD studentships in their areas of interest. Please follow the links to each CDT to find out more.

Internship Programme

The TAS Doctoral Training Network (DTN) is a network of PhD students based at institutions across the UK.  DTN students may be required to complete an industrial placement as an integral part of their training programme or they may undertake an optional internship that is relevant to their ongoing PhD activities.  The nature of the placement and industry partner/PhD candidate relationship is very flexible and can operate on many levels, including shaping the student’s research or implementing early research results.  Exact arrangements can be worked out between the partner, student and their supervisory team for the mutual benefit of all.

If you would be interested in offering a paid placement opportunity to DTN students, please get in touch.
