All Hands Meeting 2022: Call for content

The All Hands Meeting 2022 (AHM22) is a TAS community event taking place on 12 July 2022 at BMA House, London. This year’s event will be a hybrid.

One of the main aims of the event is to get our community talking about their research, thinking about new directions it could take, and steering the overarching strategy of the Hub for the coming year.

The programme will include panel sessions, interactive discussions, and networking opportunities with an exhibition space for live demonstrations of TAS project work.

This Call invites you to apply for the following:

  • Project Videos
  • Research Posters
  • Exhibition Demos

Please liaise with your project Lead Contact/Principal Investigator on your content submissions.

*Please see the submission guidelines at the bottom of the page before you submit*

Call for Project Videos

We invite all TAS researchers on the 2021/2022 Pump Priming and Agile Projects, and Responsibility Projects to submit pre-recorded video presentations to update the community on your TAS-related research. Your videos will be made available in the build-up to the event.

A £250 prize will be awarded to the best Agile or Pump Priming project video, as voted by the community.

Your video will feature at the event, and be used in the run-up across the Hub’s channels. They will also feature on your project pages to round off your completed work.

Project video content and format

  1. Your talk should be no more than 05 minutes

  3. Responsibility projects should focus on introducing the research, your teams and your project partners.
  4. Your video can take any format. Traditionally, you would record your talk through Zoom with your presentation and webcam side-by-side, but creativity is welcomed. You should also provide a text summary with your video to be used in the programme.
  5. You’re encouraged to include imagery and footage from your project (if available) to help our audience see the work you’ve done.

Submission Guidance

When submitting your Video/Poster/Exhibition demonstration, please make sure you adhere to the following criteria to avoid wasted effort:

Relevance

Your content needs to be relevant to research into trustworthy autonomous systems. We particularly welcome interdisciplinary work and work done with end-users, industry, and policymakers.

Presentation quality

Your work needs to adhere to the production guidance (poster template, video production guidelines) and needs to be presented professionally. Please bear in mind that the material you present will appear on someone’s screen (as it’s a hybrid event) and therefore needs to be clearly readable and easy on the eye.

Content quality

Please make sure you clearly describe the research challenges you’ve addressed and the outcome and outputs achieved. Also, make sure to fill in the associated form with relevant data so we’re aware of your intent to submit.

We will review all content submitted and, in case they do not fit the above criteria, we reserve the right to invite a resubmission.

Visit our guidance page for additional guidance on research posters and video recording,
