Twelve newly funded interdisciplinary research projects that will tackle a breadth of challenges in trustworthiness in autonomous systems, were launched on 09 June at the Hub’s Pump Priming kick-off meeting.
Our community was introduced to each project team, as they presented their aims, methods and industry partners. We saw a huge range of research topics including wound healing using lasers, causal explanation in educational robots, AI and the management of chronic conditions like diabetes, digital mental healthcare, and understanding how our data is used when collected by an autonomous vehicle.
Together with the original six Agile projects, the Hub has now allocated over £1.4m of funding into TAS research. The 18 projects bring together multiple institutions and industry partners, as we continue to grow our TAS community.
