When it comes to autonomy in defence systems, there are huge opportunities to improve efficiency and save costs, but significant issues around trust, ethics and legal challenges remain. We unpack these issues in this report with The Policy Institute at King’s College, written by Juljan Krause, Public Policy | Southampton, University of Southampton.

The report is the second of seven coming out from The Policy Institute and the TAS Hub in the coming year (21-22) which explore the current landscape of policy with autonomous systems in the following sectors: Healthcare, Defence and Security, Autonomous Vehicles, Financial Services, Creative Industries, Industry X.0, and Internet of Things at home and in the workplace.
