Eight new TAS research projects announced

Proudly announcing eight new TAS research projects for 2022/23. Congratulations to all the successful project teams.

The projects are funded by the UKRI TAS Hub to run for twelve months as part of our Pump Priming Programme, bringing the total number of TAS Hub funded projects to 22.

More details on each project will be released in the coming weeks.

The projects:

1. DAISY: Diagnostic AI System for Robot-Assisted A&E Triage – Lead contact: Professor Radu Calinescu, University of York

4. Virtually There: Exploring Presence, Ethics and Aesthetics in Immersive Semi-Autonomous Teleoperation for Hazardous Environments – Lead contact: Verity McIntosh, Senior Lecturer, University of West England

5. Reimagining TAS with Disabled Young People – Lead contact: Professor Dan Goodley, The University of Sheffield

6. Intersectional Approaches to Design and Deployment of Trustworthy Autonomous Systems – Lead contact: Dr Caitlin Bentley, University of Sheffield

7. TARICS: Trustworthy Accessible Robots for Inclusive Cultural experiences – Lead contact: Maria Galvez Trigo, Assistant Professor, University of Lincoln
