The Cobot Maker Space is a new facility for human-robot interaction research, designed to support industry in exploring the use of technology.
It officially launched on 09th September 2021 at Innovation Park and the University of Nottingham – one of the three named institutional partners of the Hub alongside the University of Southampton and King’s College London. Pictured is Professor Steve Benford, the TAS Creative Programme Lead, and Professor of Computer Science and academic lead for the Cobot Maker Space for the UNiversity of Nottingham.
For the TAS community, it’s a robotics/AI facility that provides configurable labs to assemble, trial and research ideas, its also a workshop equipped with tools to support rapid prototyping and a living space resembling the appearance of an office/living room to test ideas in an everyday environment. Members of the TAS Hub network and Partners are able to utilize/engage with the facility.
