Job description

The candidate will be responsible for the successful management of the UKRI TAS Hub at King’s. This will involve taking responsibility for the operational delivery of the hub at King’s, working in collaboration with the national hub operations manager, supporting the Deputy Director of the hub at King’s, and engaging with external academic and industry partners. It will engage with broad range of end-users, international collaborators, and investors. Three partners form the TAS-UK Hub: University of Southampton (lead), University of Nottingham and King’s College London.

The TAS team at King’s (TAS-KCL) currently involves co-investigators from five faculties across the College. This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract until August 2024.

This is a full-time post – 100% full-time equivalent

 

Key responsibilities

This role is split 50-50 between supporting:

 

TAS-KCL

  • Responsibility for the operational delivery of the TAS-KCL, including reporting to the TAS-UK Hub, implementation of procedures at King’s, delivery and compliance with objectives set by TAS Hub, and regulations/policy.
  • Providing support to the TAS-KCL committees, TAS-KCL investigators and TAS-KCL representatives on TAS-UK Hub committees, including supporting the delivery of TAS research.
  • Working proactively with professional services including finance and HR to support the development of the TAS-KCL team, including management of allocated budgets and resources and control all related expenditure to ensure delivery of targets/objectives within budget.

 

UKRI TAS Hub

  • Work harmoniously with the TAS Hub operations manager and other TAS professional services, to ensure the successful delivery of the TAS programme
  • To actively engage with external partners in the planning and organisation of TAS Hub events, workshops, conferences, and meetings
  • Managing internal and external relationships
  • Working closely with the TAS Deputy Director at King’s, the TAS Director and Head of Operations as well as Senior Academic staff (both at King’s and at Southampton and Nottingham)
  • Manage relationships with professional services within the department of Informatics, the various faculties and college central services at King’s
  • Actively engage with members external to TAS (including Advisory Boards, International Academics, and industrial partners) in relation to events, meetings, exchanges, and guest lectures.
  • Working closely with the TAS Deputy Director at King’s, the TAS Director, and Head of Operations as well as Senior Academic staff (both at King’s and at Southampton and Nottingham)
  • Manage relationships with professional services within the department of Informatics, the various faculties and college central services at King’s
  • Actively engage with members external to TAS (including Advisory Boards, International Academics, and industrial partners) in relation to events, meetings, exchanges, and guest lectures.
